Free separations

With an account you get 5 separations every 24 hours on Standard.

The 24 hours are rolling, not a calendar day: what counts is how many free separations you started in the last 24 hours. Each one stops counting 24 hours after it started, so once your 5 free separations are used, the next one is free again 24 hours after the earliest of them started.

Songs and videos count together: a video uses one free separation, as a song does.

A separation that fails is not counted.

When you are signed in, the Standard option in each tool shows how many you have left and, once none is left, when the next one is free again.

Credits

A Pro separation uses 1 credit for a song or video up to 5 minutes long, 2 credits for a longer one. Credits come with a monthly plan or a one-time credit pack.

The length is counted in whole seconds, the way a player shows it, so a file shown as exactly 5 minutes long uses the lower number. Before you start, each tool says how many credits the file you chose uses, when your browser can read its length.

Credits from a plan are valid for 30 days after they are added.

Failed separations

If a separation fails or takes too long, the credits it used are returned to your balance.

Your plan

A subscription is managed from Billing in your account settings. Your credit balance and its history are under Credits.
